so i noticed that there are at least 3 colored pieces that i've completed but haven't posted to DA. And though I'm sad about my inability to draw from my imagination at the moment (ugh), i received a lightbox for Christmas and a new coloring book (Comickers Coloring Book) as a wedding gift. as for the drawing, i'll have to re-learn to do that all over again at some point.
this means that my goal of putting together at least one completed piece every week can be realized. I will have some long weekends coming up once my new schedule is in place. i have a mountain of things that need my creative attention. hopefully i will post it all here soon.

Things I'm working on:
- posting photos of things i've completed (previously and for the future)
- coloring the pages from my NEW coloring book (and posting them here when complete)
- finish painting the miniatures (and posting the photos here)
that should do me for the rest of the year, methinks.
Deviant for 13 years, now what?
So, it's the end of the year and this webspace has changed a LOT since 2003 (when I first joined). I joined this site right after graduating Uni and moving across the sea to the land of the rising sun. I haven't done anything here since 2010 I reckon. I've decided to embrace the fact that I am an adult and I've branched out into so many things and yet my drawing and coloring have remained relatively stagnant.
I've gone ahead and manually emptied out my "watching" list. I'm clearing out all of my posts. I am planning to start fresh here in the new year. Heck what else are 3-day weekends for??
how does someone get the creative juices flowing?
so, at this point, I've had the painting area for minis setup for about 3 weeks. I also haven't drawn anything (I'm not as confident in getting my ideas on paper as I used to be). SO! I went over to my new birthday present (US COMIKERS COLORING BOOK) and put it in my bag along with my COPIC multiliners. Today. I AM going to pick a single page and create 2 (or more?) inks of it. yep. I have it in my head that I want to experiment with colors this month of March. Depending on how many inks I get done, I was thinking about trying different color schemes. It's nothing new when you think about it, but it'll help me visualize what colors I can pain
is it possible?!?! can't draw anymore?
so i was sitting in front of some white paper and tried to make some doodles and i threw all five away in the bin. argh. i don't think i remember how to draw anymore. at least not from my mind. i guess i will have to go back to basics again :(
this means that i will probably start drawing still-life and from photographs again for a while. i'll also be going back to drawing fanart. trying to re-create what other artists have already conceived.
i'm so so very sad. i used to be able to draw. maybe not the best but i have the ability. i suppose leaving the ability dormant for over 3 years can do that to any skill. i will get back on it. yes.

One year later...2015 already?!
so... i've been inactive here (and creatively for the most part) for a little over a year.
I have finished a few coloring pages, but haven't spent the time to photograph them and post them.
For my birthday, i was given a lightbox, so i'm looking forward to more illustrating and flexing those creative muscles.
i also have a bunch of miniatures that i'll be painting throughout the year. I'm hoping to be able to post those as well.
